Ducharme and Sons worked with the homeowner to design a new deck (landing) and stairway from the rear exit of her house.
The porch is built with all dry, pressure-treated lumber.
Some details:
- ADA railing for safety, as well as solid post connections (no floppy posts)
- Slightly shallower stair angle to suit client’s preference, but within building code
- Posts wrapped and terminated with simple clean caps
- Painted lumber primed on all sides to reduce warping and increase paint longevity
